The Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) has mandated that all intermediaries, including independent used vehicle dealers, must be Specialist Automotive Finance (SAF) Approved or accredited under an equivalent scheme by 1 January 2025 to comply with new Consumer Duty regulations. This initiative, launched in 2007, aims to enhance finance knowledge and customer confidence in the automotive sector. Autoguard Group has committed to SAF accreditation training for their agents, partnering with Catalyst to ensure ongoing compliance and exceptional customer service. Dealers should seek SAF accreditation well in advance of the deadline.
